| I was born in Missoula, Montana and
grew up fishing the Clark Fork, Bitterroot, and Blackfoot Rivers, as well
as Rock Creek and many smaller local streams. I caught my first trout out
of the famous Bighole River over 30 years ago on a spinning rod. |

My dad got me started flyfishing when I was eight
years old. After enduring many days of casting practice on the front lawn,
I was finally taken to No-Tell Creek and caught three giant rainbow trout
(I swear). I was hooked on flyfishing. I became a purist fly fisherman at
the age of twelve for the simple reason that my brother's friend's dog ate
my spinning rod and I have been chasing wild trout and other sport fish
with the fly rod ever since. |

| I have a master's degree in biology
which I use to help my clients better understand and enjoy the fish and
bugs in the rivers, the wildlife along the river, and the ecology of the
wonderful country we fish in. I believe in working for the fish and habitat
which help support me and my family here in beautiful southwest Montana. |

| I believe fishing is so much more
than numbers and size, but is about immersing yourself in all the pleasures
of being outdoors. After living in Bozeman for 10 years and starting my
guide business there, I am happy to call Missoula home once again, along
with my wife M.C. and daughters Ellie and Ruby.
I look forward to seeing you on the river.
