Winter
Believe it or not, there is winter flyfishing in Montana, although the
weather from late November through mid March can be a little bit daunting.
We wouldn't recommend planning your fishing vacation for January, however
if you are going to be here for business, skiing, or some other reason
give us a call. If the weather is agreeable you'll catch fish (I don't
like to fish much below zero because the guides keep icing up). There
can be great winter nymphing as well as consistent midge hatches. The
Paradise Valley spring creeks fish well throughout the year with their
steady water temperatures (the warming huts help too!) so if you can stand
the weather, the fish will eat.
